Anotace
Currently, there are hundreds of millions of tons of plastic waste in the seas and oceans, with an additional 5 to 13 million tons accumulating each year. Islands of floating plastic endanger marine life and human health. One solution for their disposal could be a ship, whose model is part of the exhibition of the Czech Academy of Sciences at Expo in Dubai. The creators utilized established technologies to tackle plastic islands. The result is modular technology that can be arranged into standard containers used in maritime transport worldwide.
